June 4, 2023: Workday to Clear Trees Down Blocking the ROW

Recent windstorms have caused trees to fall down blocking the Stewartstown Railroad Right-Of-Way. Crews have been out clearing smaller logs. However, we are looking for help to clear a spot with up to 6 larger trees that fell together. Come out and meet Mark, crew leader, at the station in Stewartstown at 9AM. Chainsaws, fuel, and bar oil will be provided. Please bring safety glasses, gloves, water, lunch, and steel toed boots. The crew will ride out to the worksite on motorcars. Work is expected to wrap-up by 4PM

June 4, 2023 Workday: Coach Work

We are off to a good start for the Summer 2023 equipment restoration season. Currently, two coaches are undergoing restoration work simultaneously, increasing the need for more helpers. For this Sunday, June 4 starting at 10 AM, help is needed with the following tasks:
1341 – Continued Rivet Head Removal (less than half-way to go!)
1158 – Welding the Metal Subfloor into Place for the Concrete to be poured & Window Trim Painting
