Our Equipment

Keeping a railroad operational takes specialized equipment!

We hope you enjoy your visit to Stewartstown Railroad. Whether you’re here for a train ride, or just to tour our operation, this railroad has a lot of history to offer. Chartered in 1884 as a short line railroad to serve the community, Stewartstown Railroad has carried passengers and freight to and from Stewartstown for nearly a century and a half. Now, primarily a tourist railroad, Stewartstown Railroad is operated by an all-volunteer group dedicated to preserving Stewartstown’s railroad history.

Here highlighted are some of the equipment and structures you may see during your visit.
