We will be hosting a special work day on Friday November 22, 9AM to 4:30PM. We will be taking the Plasser tamper out and we will be working on raising low joints and tamping loose ties from Bailey Springs west. Hopefully we can get down as far as the approach to Iron Bridge.
This will be a special day as we have not had the tamper out this year as we’ve been consumed with tie work, weed spraying and other tasks.
If you have not seen this machine work, it is well worth a day to come out and help level up our track!!
We need help to haul and distribute ballast and to set move jacks as we work on raising the low spots.
We are hoping our nice fall weather continues and encourage all to come out and help!
The December work weekend is December 13, 14, and 15. We’ll be continuing with the work at MP6 and up towards the private crossing west of Five Forks Road, to finish the year off.
Our tie count as of November 12 is 316, and goo three day weekend could put us at 380, which would be a great year!!
